Page Design

Page Design

It has been said that design is the intermediary between information and understanding – and it’s as true of magazine and newspaper design as any other type of design.

Headlines, text, graphics and pictures should be blended seamlessly together in a way that maximises readability and clarity, no matter how much information is on the page.

Individual pages should also be well signposted – alerting readers to what type of story they’re reading: news, features, commentary, etc. You’ll want to go with a medium (page design) that won’t get in the way of the message (the story).

That’s why effective page layout should be both subtle AND impactful, and recognising the balance between the two is key.

And that’s where lots of experience comes into play – Joe Mitchell, of Brazier Media, has been designing newspapers and magazines for more than 30 years. Why not check out whether he can help with your publishing needs? Contact us out at info@brazier.media
